Hospitalist NursePractitioner / Physician Assistant Role Scope

Thenurse practitioner or physician assistant will support the quickly expandingHospitalist service at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. The Hospitalist AdvancedPractitioner will admit patients from the Emergency Department (ED) to thehospital, triage admissions, round on patients, and assist in covering the ICU.The APRN/PA provides quality, holistic and cost-effective advanced practicecare for patients, families, and others in a target population, andparticipates in the medical management of patients, to achieve or maintainoptimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness. Engages inindependent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, familiesand groups across the lifespan and across the health care continuum.

Schedule :7 on 7 off. 3pm 1am

  • Qualifications

    Advanced Practitioner Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Masters program preferred
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant orNational Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC
  • Hospitalist experience preferred
